We’d like to introduce you to the newest member of our team: Tyler! From Stockbridge, Georgia, Tyler has moved at least 9 or 10 times (even he can’t remember), before coming to Athens as a transfer student, graduating in mass media arts, and joining us at Athens Video. Tyler’s dream of working in video production started when he was a kid and fell in love with movies like “The Return of the King” (the last installation of Lord of the Rings) and TV shows like “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” When he’s not out on a shoot for us or in the office editing, he can be found playing tennis, caring for his fat cat named Gary (for those of you thinking SpongeBob: yes), or working on his podcast about the latest in movies and television, titled “The Unnecessary Gentlemen” (available on iTunes and SoundCloud!). We’re excited to have you on our team, Tyler - welcome to Athens Video!
We recently bought the Jenga game, and instead of playing we just made a stop motion video with it.
We spent a few days with the Norton crew in Brownsville, Texas. These folks are hard working and committed But the video says it better than words can.
Previously, walks through the cemetery were the only way to educate others about the rich history of the Oconee Hill Cemetery. Although there is something different about actually being in person, we now have a new way to study the cemetery from our digital devices. Check out the Oconee Hill Cemetery's new virtual website. The website is set up like a book. Click at the bottom of the page to flip through the different graves. Each page has a picture that you can click on to watch the video about that particular grave.
Check out this video we made did for Graceful Gospel Dance Academy. Here is the link to our Youtube page to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayi8K5oWJXI. You can also watch it on our Facebook page too.
We had the opportunity to work with American Pest Control on this video. Click on the link below to see the video and find out how to have a mosquito free summer.
Us, too! Did you know our very own University of Georgia has an a cappella group? Formed in 1974, the UGA Accidentals are the oldest a cappella group from the university. Holding an award-winning legacy, the group is now raising money to purchase their FIRST ever sound system to truly bring their sound to life. We had a great time helping them create this kickstarter video -- click the video and the "K" to learn more and show your support!
