We filmed today at Turner Field for some television commercials starring an Atlanta Braves pitcher. I don't know that I can say who the player is - but hopefully you will see the footage on TV for Landmark Dodge in Athens, Ga. And if you are looking for a new car, you should visit these folks because they have some pretty sweet Chargers over there.

At the end of last year, we filmed 14 Historic Walking Tours of Athens for the Athens Heritage Foundation. It's been a great effort, and editing them has been taking longer than expected. But we do have over half of them finished now, and they are available to view on our website. The tours are very fun and interesting, and will be a valuable asset to the people who are interested in learning more about Athens.
http://www.athensvideo.net/athensheritagefoundationtours.html or check them out on our vimeo page http://vimeo.com/album/1789682 We were very fortunate to have the Center for Court Innovation http://www.courtinnovation.org come down and contract us to help them document some very important and interesting court innovations happening in Athens, Georgia. It was a busy shoot that happened at the Athens Clarke County courthouse for 2 days. Hopefully the final video will be available on their website when it is done as it looks to be a very good program.
We had a great shoot today for an important project being done by the folks at the University of Georgia's Center for Family Research. They enlisted the help of a well known actor who lives in Atlanta, GregAlan Williams. He was great to work with as was everyone from the Center.
We recently worked with the AAAC to create a video to raise awareness and funds for some new art in Athens, in the form of Bus Shelters. It's a great idea and is part of what makes Athens special. They are kicking off the campaign now, and have posted the video on R.E.M.'s website. http://remhq.com/news_story.php?id=1413 Also on youtube. You, Me and The Bus: We just completed a new video for the Athens Area Arts Council in order to raise money and awareness for the new bus shelters they are installing around town. Hopefully you've seen some of them already - the school bus, the piano, the musical notes - they are all over the place and they really add to the overall good feeling of Athens. Well, those shelters aren't free, and the AAAC needs to raise money to install them. Hence the video. Please visit their website at www.athensarts.org Perhaps you've seen websites that feature an on screen guide who walks onto your computer (usually at the bottom of the screen). We will be filming Monday for just that purpose. The trick to creating that effect is to film against a green backdrop, and then key out the green background later in post-production. The goal is to be able to see the website behind the guide and not solid green or white. Green screen video can be tricky, but with solid, continuous lighting on the screen, proper separation of the the talent from the screen, and good keying software, it can be done successfully.
We will be filming a memorial service this weekend for a client's recently deceased mother. Many people wonder why anyone would want to film a memorial service, thinking that it seems macabre. In this case, the client is filming it for her brother, who is disabled and unable to travel from California to attend the funeral for his own mother. We will be filming the service and creating a DVD which will be sent to him to view, and hopefully bring him some peace of mind.
