The Athens Justice Project is having their yearly award banquet on October 26th at The Classic Center. This year they are honoring a truly inspiring man - Milner Ball. Athens Video was fortunate enough to be involved with creating a 10 minute bio-video that will be shown at the banquet. We will post the video online after the banquet, so that everyone can watch this video and learn about Milner Ball. Please visit the Athens Justice Project website

Yesterday I received bad news from a past client - his home had burned down and he was calling to see if we had a copy of his personal project we did in 2008 (it was his wedding). Because it is our policy to archive every job we do (except for media transfers unless requested) I was able to retrieve the master disc and make copies for him. This is a free service we offer our clients. We have master SVHS tapes that go back to 1983 even. It is a good feeling to be able to help a client out in a situation where most of the personal items lost can never be replaced.
One of the nest features of our new website is the ability to create unique client pages that are password protected. In the past, we've provided clients with video previews online by sending a link to a video for them to download. There are many problems with this workflow, but most of those problems are addressed now with this new system. If you are a client, you will be excited about this new feature.
We are often asked by people how to make the equipment they have do what they want to do. Unfortunately, that is not a simple question and the answer is even more confusing. In response, we have started providing consultation services where we can assess the equipment and software you have, and show you step by step how to use it. We can even go step by step through the process of making your own video with your own gear and software, and then upload it to the internet. This is a good solution for individuals who just need a little push in the right direction and don't have countless hours to go through the trial and error process. We've already done that so you don't have to.
Athens Video has purchased www.athensvideo.net and will be creating our new website under this domain. When it is complete we will remove the old site at www.athensvideo.com and all traffic to www.athensvideo.net will be re-directed there. We hope this transition is not confusing for you if you are trying to find information.
Athens Video is switching to a new style of format for our website. We will maintaining two sites, but at some point we will drop the other one. So please do not be confused by the fact that we have two very different looking sites.
