About Format Conversions
A format conversion can include any of the following:
  • analog to digital (such as VHS tape to DVD)
  • digital to digital (such as Quicktime Movie to Flash video)
  • digital to analog (such as DVD to VHS)
  • PAL (foreign) to NTSC (United States) and vice-versa (analog or digital)
  • Powerpoint slideshow to DVD

There are countless combinations of format conversions that can be made, most of which we are able to accomplish. Please call if you have a question about a  format not listed here.

Analog Formats

  • NTSC VHS / PAL VHS
  • VHS C (small VHS tapes used in adapters)
  • S-VHS and S-VHS C (also called Super VHS)
  • Cassette and Micro-cassette
  • 8 mm / Hi 8 (Sony Format)
  • 35 mm slides and photographs

Digital Formats

  • NTSC DVD / PAL DVD
  • Digital 8 (Sony Format)
  • JPG / BMP / TIFF and other image formats
  • Video formats including AVI, MOV, MPG 1, MPG 2, M4V, FLV, MTS, M2V, WMV, MP4, MPG 2 for Blu-Ray, H264, and many others.
  • Audio formats including MP3, WAV, AIFF, WMA and many other

Transfers we cannot do: Although we work with multitudes of formats, there are a few that we no longer deal with. This list below covers most of them.
